Coca-Cola and their agency, Fast Horse, Inc. engaged us to create a photo interactive for the Coca-Cola Spectacular in Times Square to coincide with the live appearance of the Expedition 206 Brand Ambassadors, Tony Martin, Kelly Ferris, and Antonio Santiago.
The mission is for the Brand Ambassadors to travel to 206 countries in one year to document on video and on the internet what makes people happy, part of the Coca-Cola “Open Happiness” campaign.
Our assignment was to create a photo interactive to also find out what makes people happy in Times Square and to display their photo on the Coca-Cola sign.
We produced all of the animated materials, deployed our talented street teams and created custom software used with a proprietary iPhone app. The WOW street teams paired with the brand ambassadors took hundreds of pictures and posted them with happiness slogans. At the same time, we were also receiving photos from Facebook which we also processed and displayed on the sign.
The application composited each photo and message into a sign template and posted the template on the Coca-Cola Spectacular within seconds. Simultaneously the application created a second composite and sent that to each participants email address which reinforced the “Open Happiness” campaign and drove additional traffic to the Expedition 206 official website. |
